Muvanz Pocherohan and Seafoods
Cheap and delicious.
These two words are the exact words to describe Muvanz Pocherohan and Seafoods. From afar, you would think that this is just one of those places that serve "so-so" dishes. But tell you what, they actually serve oh-so-delicious dishes at very reasonable prices.
From the name itself, this resto serves pochero, Philippines' version of the Spanish cocido or a casserole dish usually made of boiled meat (usually pork or beef) and vegetables. Most Cebuano's dig pocheros made of cow's bone due to its tasty bone marrow. At Muvanz, however, they serve soft and chewy cow's meat instead of the traditional bone. What I like best about their pochero is that it's sweet and the soup's thick.
Sold at P120 per serving, Muvanz pochero can already satisfy 4 hungry stomachs though the resto claimed it's good for 2. Affordable, isn't it? It surely isn't heavy on the budget. In fact, a group of friends can even order two in one seating. Got to warn you though, this dish is highly fatty. So those with weak hearts and prone to high blood pressure should be very cautious. Yet, when you get to taste it, I'm sure it'd be very difficult to control yourself because it's just so delectable.
Another highly recommended dish would be their Scallops. At a price of P60 per serving, you'd definitely keep coming back for more. I, with all honesty, fell in love with their scallops. Its rich and buttery taste is just so irresistible. I say, it's one of the best among the scallop dishes I've tasted so far in Cebu.
To give you a hint of the dishes they serve at Muvan's, here's a photo of their menu:
Shocking, right? I, myself, was so stunned with the prices. This definitely is a good place for huge groups, most specially for students.
